Readers Under Metamorphosis

Hello-Book Lovers

Books can transform lives.

Reading has always been more than a hobby for me. It is how I make sense of the world—how I question authority, understand human behavior, and test ideas before applying them to my own life. Through this space, I share not just what I read, but what stays with me long after I close the book.

My reading spans both fiction and non-fiction. I am especially drawn to mystery and true crime for the way they explore motive and morality, and to self-help and finance for their practical insights into discipline, decision-making, and long-term thinking. More recently, I’ve been consciously expanding into biographies, philosophy, and history—fields that reveal how power operates, how character is formed, and how societies rise and fall.

In 2025, I was introduced to Stoic philosophy through Ryan Holiday’s Ego Is the Enemy, a book that arrived at a time when I was questioning ambition, success, and self-worth. Its ideas stayed with me, leading me to The Obstacle Is the Way and further explorations into Stoic thought. What appealed to me was not motivation, but restraint—the emphasis on clarity, responsibility, and inner discipline.

My goal is to learn from thinkers and intellectuals who once lived on this earth and to examine how their ideas hold up in everyday life today. On this blog, I share short reflections, anecdotes, and summaries from my reading—not as lessons to be preached, but as ideas worth wrestling with. If a book changes how I think, I consider it worth sharing.

Whether you prefer fiction or non-fiction, philosophical inquiry or practical wisdom, you’ll find this space shaped by curiosity, honest reflection, and a desire to read more carefully—and live a little more deliberately.

What Compelled Me to Read Origin

Month

December, 2025

Author and Publishing date

Dan Brown, 2018

I’m reading Origin because I’m curious about the questions it dares to ask—where we come from, where we’re headed, and how technology, belief, and power intersect in shaping human destiny.

Beyond the fast-paced thriller format that Dan Brown is known for, this book explores the tension between science and religion, tradition and progress, and truth and narrative control. These themes deeply interest me, especially in a world where information, ideology, and authority are constantly competing for influence.

I’m approaching this book not just as a story, but as an exploration of ideas that challenge how we understand faith, progress, and our place in the future.
